It’s hot and gettin’ hotter!

Today was my first ever experience harvesting potatoes, and man was it fun.  Rowan, Michelle and I got our hands dirty, rooting (ha) through the soil under each potato plant – and what we found was amazing!  We have a beautiful bounty of yukon gold and adirondack red potatoes, some of which are monsters!  They’re looking mighty tasty – what a treat for the CSA!

We also transplanted some cucumbers, harvested some big ole bulbs of garlic, prepped what used to be our turnip bed for further planting, and watered the recently planted corn!

Tomorrow’s supposed to be a wopping 96 degrees with a heat index of over 100.  Good thing we’ll have a garden visitor to keep us distracted – stay tuned for Rowan’s update to find out who!
